Is the new BOBOVR M3 Pro the best Quest 3 accessory you can buy right now?
We were lucky enough to be sent the new M3 Pro from BOBOVR when the Quest 3 launched but before we published our review we wanted to really make sure we put it through its paces.
Set up
Setting up was overall very easy and quick. Unclipping the original "jock strap" and clipping in the new M3 Pro was very easy taking on seconds to be done. The hardest part for me personally was the Velcro strap being fed through the top of the headset. It was a very compact area to be working in and as I have all the grace of an elephant it was a struggle but it was manageable it simply took me a while.
Comfort
So, we are all set up and ready to go! Place the head strap over your head. I did this by holding the Q3 in place over my eyes and then turning the dial on the back. Adjusting as you tighten if needed and away you go. It was comfortable and enjoyable to wear for long periods of gameplay at a time. As a bald-headed fella comfort is important to me and this checked all the right boxes.
Ease of use
This was my first time using a BOBOVR unit. Everything was a smooth process and very easy to use and set up. The Quest 3's amazing passthrough for MR really helps the hot swapping batteries as you can freely walk around and open cupboards to replace the battery without ever coming out of the headset.
I have since starting my testing, recommended this product to anyone who has asked (and some that hadn't) and I will continue to do so. While I look forward to testing other brands and styles of head straps I fell instantly in love with the swappable batteries. The ability to remain wireless for an entire day while completing everyday tasks cooking, cleaning, working and gaming or socialising this lasts as long as you do and remains comfortable while doing so.
